AEPC
Established in 1978, AEPC is the official association of apparel exporters in India, providing invaluable support to both Indian exporters and importers/international buyers who choose India as their preferred sourcing country for apparel. AEPC is constantly working towards integrating the entire industry: training the workforce at the grassroots level and providing a steady stream of manpower to the industry; identifying the best countries for sourcing machinery and other infrastructure and much more.

L’Association Marocaine des Industries de Textile et de l’Habillement (AMITH)
AMITH has been supporting the Moroccan textile and clothing industry with responsibility and a sense of duty since 1960. The sector is the largest industrial employer in the country. AMITH promotes the interests of its industry, protects know-how and assists its members in their daily challenges. AMITH creates and consolidates links between the players in the Moroccan textile and clothing sector and their various stakeholders. They also represent the interests of hundreds of thousands of workers by taking care of their future.

Indonesian Textile Association (API)
API was founded in Jakarta in 1974 by several textile entrepreneurs. API is a textile organization that covers the entire textile industry sector, from the mainstream to the downstream industry. API focuses on meeting the needs and interests of its members and other stakeholders in the textile industry. Its activities work with a wide range of stakeholders such as the government, textile employers, universities and others to promote the development of the textile industry and trade in Indonesia.

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)
BGMEA is one of the largest trade associations in the country and represents the garment industry, particularly the woven, knitwear and jumper sub-sectors. Since its inception in 1983, BGMEA has worked to promote and support the garment industry by lobbying the government politically, providing services to its members and advocating for workers’ rights and compliance with social standards in factories. BGMEA works with local and international stakeholders to pave the way for the development of the garment industry in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA)
Founded in 1996, BKMEA is the leading trade association exclusively representing the knitwear sector of Bangladesh. It stands out in the global panorama with its own identity and stature. BKMEA focuses on innovation and creativity to make the sectoral policy-making process realistic and strategically perfect, leading to results that accelerate the development phase of the country.

China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC)
CNTAC is the national association of all textile-related industries. Its main tasks is to pursue a scientific development perspective, improve the industry’s self-regulation system, protect the rights and interests of members and enterprises, implement the national industrial policy and the functions approved and assigned by the government, actively guide the development of the industry and to promote the healthy development of China’s textile and garment industry.

Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA)
The factories that are part of the MGMA provide work and livelihoods for around 450.000 workers. MGMA works with multiple partners and stakeholders, from government policy makers and international NGOs to private sector investors, retailers, and foreign brands.

Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA)
PHMA is the leading trade organisation representing the hosiery and knitwear industry, accelerating and promoting growth in all sectors of the economy. PHMA was founded in 1960 by a number of dedicated and leading hosiery and knitwear manufacturers with the aim of promoting, developing and protecting the export of hosiery and all manufactured garment, textile and home textile products.

Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA)
The association was founded in 1985 as one of the most important trade organizations in Pakistan. The membership of the association has grown over the years and currently stands at over 250. PTEA is the first trade organization in the country to acquire the international standardization certificate ISO-9001-2000 to comply with the international standard of the service association.

Textile, Apparel, Footwear & Travel Goods Association in Cambodia (TAFTAC)
Established in 1996 due to the increasing need for the garment industry to stand together with a unified voice, TAFTAC has become one of the most active and prominent trade associations in the country, representing, promoting and safeguarding the rights and interests of its members. TAFTAC provides a forum for consultation and discussion among members/ stakeholders of common interests and seek for the adoption of sound policies allowing the industry to grow and develop.

Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association (TCMA/TGSD)
Founded in 1976, the TGSD (Türkiye Giyim Sanayicileri Derneği) is a professional association that became a non-profit organisation in 2003. With the aim of creating an environment in which the Turkish garment industry can develop, the association leads industry initiatives, promotes them abroad and offers industry-wide co-operation. The members of the association are the leading exporters in the sector.

Towel Manufacturer’s Association of Pakistan (TMA)
TMA was formed as a group in 1965, later recognized by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and became a full-fledged association in 1976. The formation of the association became a turning point in the industry as trade was disciplined and all kinds of information, technical or otherwise, was disseminated to both members and non-members.

Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS)
VITAS was established in 1999. Since then, VITAS has been working closely with companies and the government to develop strategies and development programs for the entire industry and is actively involved in the activities of international and regional textile and apparel organizations. During 20 years of operation, VITAS has attracted nearly 1.000 members who are individuals, businesses, domestic and foreign partner organizations. VITAS has seven local branches located in all regions of the country.
